Work-life balance
Upper management is extremely understanding of personal/child care situations. However, with an overall understanding that this is and should be treated as a full time position. There is flexibility in my schedule, where I can schedule my availability to fit my personal needs, however I also work from sunrise to well past sundown 3-4 days a week. As with any career, you get out of it what you are willing to put in. I choose to work long hours as needed to be successful with Woodbridge.

Pay & benefits
In my position,  upon initial employment there were not benefits offered; however, this is something that we are gaining in the next 30 days which will be extremely beneficial to my life.

Job security and advancement
I have seen, just in 7 months, Woodbridge promote from within, 4 times. I believe growth and career advancement is absolutely something that Woodbridge promotes from inside their existing workforce.

Management
The family core values and integrity that I have personally witnessed my management and THEIR management operate with, still impresses me. It's unfortunately,  not a common practice in the "corporate world" and I am so incredibly pleased to be a part of a company that holds small family core values, in such high precedence. I always have assistance and help with anything of concern or questioning, to me. Literally multiple members of management are always just 1 phone call away and never have been unreachable when I need them. Above and beyond.

Overall
As I have explained in different parts of this review, I am very much pleased with my employment and treatment at Woodbridge Home Exteriors. When I first was approached by them for an initial interview and upon researching the company, I knew that if everything I was hearing and seeing were to be true, this career could potentially be life changing for me. In the past 6 months, it has been exactly that. And then some. My great expectations and hopes for what I could accomplish and do through my employment here, have been far surpassed. Everything, from my management support and training to the ease and flexibility of my life now, is wonderful. The compensation, although somewhat of an adjustment and a bit complex, is pretty life changing in itself. My experience and future projection of where I can see myself within this company, years from now, is beyond exciting. For myself personally and for what I am able to bring to the table for my family. Never being in this industry before, after my training period, and now 5 months in the field, I feel like I have all the tools needed to be successful in the home improvement and renovations business. I have constant and continued support from my team and management. To sum it up, it is a wonderful family to be a part of and I'm beyond pleased that I made this decision for my future. I've never been more excited to see where my future, in a career, takes me. It's a family, an elite opportunity. One that gives you pride and excitement to be a part of.

"Woodbridge Home Exteriors is looking for experienced, top-performing sales talents to join our highly successful team in Lubbock." 
Which you are not selling any product to the customer you will only be doing Door to Door advertisement, you will be able to identify the customer’s problems and needs - The problem is that the information provided for the position is not detail properly luring you into applying for the job that might not be for you. Many have taken the job because the turn around its high, making it hard to maintain a full crew.

"We provide professional training, industry leading product samples and ongoing support to assist you in closing the sale." 
This is not the right information, during the training you will be informed on what is it that your job is and at that point you are already lure into the position, the training is not very well on how to communicate or give the customer the proper information. Sometimes you are advised by upper management that you might need to falsify some of the info to get the customer agreement. The product is not top of the line as local businesses are providing the same product at a lower cost, and also at a lower labor - this is making it harder for you to meet your goals. 

"There is NO COLD CALLING!" - This is right
"All appointments are 100% PRE-SET and PRE-QUALIFIED" - this is not right, since its a door to door job, customer are not pre-set or pre-qualified. Each door needs to be knocked and some customers do not agree or are happy to respond on what you are offering. Many customers don't like to be bothered specially on the weekends, making it harder for you to reach your goal. 
The job and the company still have long ways to work their problems that are creating the structure of the company suffer, management favor certain employees that they get help to move up the ladder by providing wrongful information. Appointments are being falsified by employees and managers when the signature is not provided by the customer. Hours are not paid properly, sometimes you are hold for a team meeting and the amount or minutes for that team meeting is not being deducted from your weekly hours. 
It’s a company with potential to grow if the proper management it’s in placed, at this point there are too many cracks that make it hard to meet the goals required and honesty to customers as well as employees.

- I came into this company with high hopes that I would excel and bonus a lot.... 6 months later and I had only gotten 1 bonus. 
- The manager constantly changes the hours every week. There is no clock in and clock out. You have to rely and trust in your manager to give you the correct hours you worked. 
- There are times where you are scheduled to go out of Wichita to work. Typically you will leave anytime from noon to 3pm and wont' get back to Wichita anywhere from 10pm-midnight. These hours will not work for you if you have a family or other responsibilities you need to tend to in your life. 
- If you don't get 5 people a week to sign up for an in home consolation then you are warned that you have 2 weeks to get 10 sets or you will be fired. 
- The manager is supposed to give you a week's advance notice of how many hours you would be working each day, but instead, you are basically informed of what time to show up to work the day before. If you have a family or other duties in your life you need to tend to then this job isn't for you!!
- They drop your off in very bad neighborhoods by yourself and expect that you will be okay. This is not right and not safe whatsoever! I don't know how many times I have had a dog almost attack me while I was going from door to door. 
- Don't believe what they tell you about how easy it is to bonus. It's all a lie. In order to successfully get a set all parties who own the house have to agree to schedule an appointment, the owner(s) of the household have to have good credit, the home must be of certain value, if Woodbridge can't contact the homeowner to schedule the appointment then you don't get the set. If you don't meet any of these requirements when trying to set the appointment then you will not get that set, which means you won't bonus. Anything less than 5 sets you won't get a bonus at all. 
These are not just things I have experienced, it is things other employees have experienced while working there too. During the 6 months I had been working for this company I have seen over 30+ people come and go. Don't expect to advance in this company or make a lot of money. This company is not what they say they are.

I am currently a employee at Woodbridge, and I've been here 6+ months.  I'm writing this review to clarify some things that have been said in the other reviews.

1.  Your job is not "always on the line".  This is a quota based job, your goal is to reach minimum, if you don't then yeah there is a chance (not a guarantee) that you could loose your job.  If you're not ok with that, then don't take the job.  They very clearly tell you that you are expected to meet the minimum requirements before hiring you.  It kinda makes me laugh when I see these reviews "Oh if you don't make minimum then you get fired"....well that's kinda in the job description

2.  You are never dropped off by yourself, you are always accross the street from someone

3.  It's not hard to make minimum requirements, they give you a script and tell you to use it.  It has been proven time and time again that the script does work.  Using the script>knocking 86 door a day (in 5 hours)>only talking to 23 homeowners>(with the script) one of those people will set up a appointment with you, it's proven.

4.  I'll admit that management can be a little immature at times, but that does not affect their ability to do their job and help you do yours.

5.  Meeting the minimum doesn't pay much in bonuses, but it's not hard to reach the higher tiers of the bonus scale.  I've been doing it consistently for months, just as quite a few of my coworkers have, it takes the right attitude and a want to go and make the money that is being offered to you.

Overall I love working here, and it kinda bothers me that so many people come on here and leave bad reviews that aren't true simply because they couldn't do their job.

Some of the ex-employees who have written regarding ads for current openings should pay attention to the job title you are reviewing.  If you were a Canvasser don't review the ad for Outside Sales and tell people it was door to door or compare it to your position.  They are very different positions with very different expectations.  There is a big difference in the 2 given one is a part-time entry level position in the marketing department and one is a contracted position for sales professionals in the Sales Department.
I have seen first hand how Canvassers are treated at this company.  They are treated well and paid well as long as they do what is asked of them - just like any other job would/should be.  Even if they don't hit there minimum requirements of setting 1 appointment each day, they are still paid $12/hr.  

I have seen posts from Outside Sales Reps complaining about the amount of driving they do and not getting reimbursed for their mileage.  What did you think Outside Sales meant?  How did you expect to get in front of the homeowner if you didn't drive to them? And if you are a contracted employee, you should not expect to be reimbursed for your mileage.

Woodbridge treats its employees very well from what I witnessed during my time there.

All I am suggesting is that you get your information straight before you post negative comments about a company.

Many of the good reviews on here, with dates in the beginning months of 2021, were asked for by the company by a blanket email, twice. 
 
If you are on salary with them, expect 50-60 hours minimum. You will have no family life. 

If you were hired on March of 20,  you will not be due for a possible raise until Jan of 2022.  That's 22 months at your starting rate. You must be there 1 full year, then wait till the coming January for any raise at all moving forward. Don't count on much. 

If you use your personal vehicle for work, other than a normal commute, they do pay some mileage and cover some tolls but not all of either.  They only cover tolls on the cheap roads. Cell phone varies on the position. 

Insurance is not cheap but they have it. If you decide to quit, burn up your PTO before you go. If not and you have been there less than a year, they keep all of it. If your there over a year they keep half. NEVER had a company do this. 

Don't trust them, read the fine print and don't take excuses on what they said they would give you when you started. They will slack off on it if you let them. Get all the money you can up front regardless of position. 

I enjoy my job and what I do for them. I like the  interaction with the customers and for the most part they do not have an issue with me.  I also do not have to deal with upper management as a rule. 




Woodbridge understood the need for its door-to-door canvassers and treated them the best that they could. They have a really good base wage and easy to hit incentives if you're willing to put in the work.

A typical day consists of just walking door to door trying to set up appointments with potential customers, you aren't even technically selling anything. I was able to learn a lot just from even the training on how to break down customer's fears about a random person jutting into their daily routine

Management was alright, you don't interact with them much considering most of the job is completely independent. Your manager or "team lead" is simply there to keep track of you and to answer questions you may or may not have.

The hardest part would definitely be some of the people you will meet going door-to-door. There are a lot of very rude people out there and you'll just have to learn to work through it.

What I found most enjoyable though was my co-workers and team lead. They were really nice people who when I started out helped me to break down the fear of knocking on random peoples' doors.

I began working with Woodbridge at the beginning of one of their "fresh starts", basically they fire everyone on the team every 4 months or so if things aren't going as planned. But I was the first person to consistently be on this team and I stayed on the team for 4 months. Everyday I worked hard and knocked on lots of houses talked to people and tried to be as genuine and friendly as possible. I studied many different books about sales and tried to pursue the more lucrative aspect of this job. However, after 4 months of me knocking 100+ houses per shift and clearly showing effort and a type A lifestyle, as well as being a cheerful team player I was told that I would be relinquished of my position and so I resigned. Overall, the pay at this company is ok. If you work the full 30 hours every week you can expect to make about 700-900 as a canvasser. Unfortunately, many of their locations have been in business for a very long time and while it may be easy to sell things for me, windows are not something you wanna start with in sales. Especially when the companies will use hard working employees for 4 -6 months and then be told by upper management to dump half the team.

August 2024 The Economy Is Crashing And The Company Is Mad Because Sales Are Down. Translated, that means that they're blaming people in sales. The crashing economy has an effect on the salespeople too. 

When things start going bad, that is when companies will show the employees that all of the words of praise, and that we're one big family, will be demonstrated to be false. It always happens. Management first. Employees last. Time will tell as the remainder of 2024 and 2025 will be testing the company. 

Already the changes in the sales department operations are happening. New rules set for employees are supposed to somehow make more buyers magically appear to get sales to increase. When confidence in the economy is low, people spend less money. Only the very wealthy people continue spending money in bad times. 

Woodbridge's products cost a lot of money. Average middle class people who are wondering if their job will still be there next month, aren't doing home improvements that cost $20,000-$60,000. 

At this company fulltime means 20 to 36 hours per week. The Sign On Bonus is only attainable by working several extra hours on your own time. 

Woodbridge Home Exteriors in Wichita has office staff that can be rude and confrontational to their co-workers. The dress code is not enforced and employee morale is low. 

New employees soon realize there is no job security when their co-workers a fired every other week. They will tell you not to lie to potential customers but it is allowed.  The manager does it. The supervisors, and co-workers will tell you its fine if it helps you set appointments. 

The crazy thing is this company claims to be honest and have integrity. They claim to have won awards for Ethics In Business and have an A rating with the Better Business Bureau. If that's true then a BBB rating no longer means anything.
