About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Digital Designer with a rare blend of creative excellence, technical execution, and forward-thinking AI adaptability. This is a hybrid role designed for someone who is equally comfortable leading digital design initiatives, collaborating with developers, and making hands-on front-end website updates within WordPress environments.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of professional experience spanning web design, branding, UX/UI, WordPress implementation, and front-end development. While design quality and creative thinking remain the priority, this role requires someone who understands how digital experiences are actually built — including HTML, CSS, responsive frameworks, WordPress theme structures, and emerging AI-powered workflows that are reshaping the creative industry.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Design & UX/UI
- Design modern, conversion-focused digital experiences with a strong understanding of user behavior, visual hierarchy, and UX best practices
- Translate client objectives and business goals into polished, brand-aligned digital experiences
- Optimize layouts, calls-to-action, and page structures to improve lead generation and engagement metrics
Front-End Development & WordPress
- Work directly inside WordPress environments to implement, QA, and refine design work
- Write and edit clean HTML and CSS while utilizing Bootstrap and responsive frameworks to create, maintain, and enhance mobile-friendly layouts and front-end website styling
AI Tools & Innovation
- Actively explore and adopt emerging AI-powered design and development tools to improve creative output and workflow efficiency
- Stay current with advancements in AI-assisted design, front-end automation, and evolving digital production workflows
- Identify and implement AI-driven opportunities that improve collaboration, streamline production, and maintain brand integrity
Leadership & Collaboration
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and deadline accountability
- Provide guidance, feedback, and mentorship to junior designers and production team members
- Participate in project planning discussions and help identify efficient production solutions
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in graphic design related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in digital design, web design, or hybrid designer/developer roles
- Strong portfolio showcasing high-quality digital design work, UX/UI thinking, and responsive web experiences
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, )
- Experience using AI-assisted creative tools such as Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, ChatGPT, Figma AI, or similar platforms
- Strong knowledge designing for WordPress websites and landing pages
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and WordPress theme structures, with the ability to directly edit code, troubleshoot issues, and implement front-end modifications
- Strong understanding of responsive design principles and modern web standards
- Comfortable collaborating closely with developers and technical teams
- Experience balancing creative quality with production efficiency in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a collaborative remote team environment
- Must be a US citizen and reside in the continental US as well as be able to work normal business hours in the eastern time zone
