Full Job Description

A business law firm in Orlando is seeking a Commercial Litigation Paralegal to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigation professional who enjoys taking ownership of complex matters, serving as a resource to junior team members, and working closely with attorneys on sophisticated commercial and business disputes.

The ideal candidate will bring substantial commercial litigation experience, forward thinking mindset, and a proactive approach to case management. This role offers exposure to a diverse range of commercial and business law matters while providing mentorship and guidance to less experienced paralegals.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and support all phases of commercial litigation from pre-suit investigation through trial and appeal.
Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, notices, and other legal documents.
Coordinate and oversee complex discovery, including document review, production, and organization.
Conduct legal and factual research, analyze records, and prepare case summaries, chronologies, and reports.
Prepare deposition materials, witness files, exhibit binders, and trial notebooks.
Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
Track litigation deadlines and ensure compliance with state and federal court rules.
Maintain and organize case files and litigation databases.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior paralegals, assisting with training, workflow management, and best practices.
Collaborate with attorneys and leadership to improve support processes and promote team development.

Qualifications

7+ years of commercial litigation paralegal experience in a law firm.
Paralegal certificate and/or bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
Strong knowledge of Florida state and federal court procedures.
Experience handling complex litigation matters
Exceptional organizational, project management, and communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, document management systems, e-discovery platforms, and legal research tools.
Experience in White collar defense is a plus, but not required.

This role is ideal for a seasoned litigation paralegal looking to take the next step into a leadership-oriented position while remaining actively involved in challenging commercial and business litigation matters.
