Job Summary

We are on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. In this role, you will be a key player in managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of top-notch food quality, and maintaining a vibrant, efficient work environment. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in fast-paced settings, possesses strong leadership skills, and has a deep love for culinary excellence across diverse dining formats including casual dining and catering.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in overseeing all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet high standards of quality and consistency.
Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations and excellent team performance.
Manage food production processes, including portion control, and ensuring adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures.
Oversee inventory management and control to minimize waste and optimize food costs while maintaining adequate stock levels for all culinary needs.
Lead catering events by supervising food service execution and maintaining exceptional standards of presentation.
Enforce food safety protocols across all kitchen activities, promoting a culture of cleanliness, sanitation, and safe food handling practices.

Experience

Proven experience in casual dining environments with a strong background in food production and restaurant management.
Minimum 2-3 years of supervising experience in a busy kitchen setting, managing teams as a chef or sous chef.
Extensive knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures, scheduling, inventory control, and cost management within the food industry.
Hands-on experience with menu planning, catering operations, shift management, and kitchen organization.
Familiarity with hospitality standards related to serving guests efficiently while maintaining high-quality service standards.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment.
