Opportunity Overview

Centro de Venas del Caribe is seeking a patient-centered General Physician to join our established and growing outpatient vascular and venous disease practice in Puerto Rico.

This position is ideal for a physician who enjoys building meaningful patient relationships, providing comprehensive medical evaluations, and helping patients navigate their vascular health journey within a specialized vein and vascular care environment.

The physician will focus on high-quality patient consultations, vascular and venous disease assessment, medical management, patient education, treatment planning, and coordination of care. This is a non-surgical position and does not require prior procedural or surgical experience.

Founded in 2013, Centro de Venas del Caribe has expanded into a four-clinic specialized vascular and vein-care platform serving multiple regions throughout Puerto Rico.

Established Practice Platform

Centro de Venas del Caribe currently operates:

Four outpatient vein and vascular clinics
Mayagüez (Headquarters)
Yauco
San Sebastián
Manatí

The practice offers:

Integrated vascular laboratories in every location
Experienced vascular sonographers
Established administrative infrastructure
Dedicated clinical, billing, scheduling, and operational teams
Strong referral network and patient volume
Structured clinical workflows and protocols

This is not a startup environment. The infrastructure, patient flow, and support systems are already in place.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is:

Licensed to practice medicine in Puerto Rico
Passionate about patient care and clinical excellence
Comfortable managing patients in an outpatient setting
Interested in vascular and venous disease management
Strong communicator with excellent bedside manner
Committed to evidence-based medicine and quality care
Fluent in Spanish
Interested in long-term professional growth within a specialized practice

Prior experience in vascular medicine is welcomed but not required. Training and mentorship will be provided.

Clinical Responsibilities

The physician will participate in:

Comprehensive patient consultations
Evaluation of chronic venous insufficiency
Assessment of varicose veins and venous symptoms
Review of vascular laboratory findings
Development of individualized treatment plans
Patient education and counseling
Medical management of vascular risk factors
Follow-up care and continuity of treatment
Coordination of care with the vascular laboratory and clinical team
Identification of patients who may benefit from specialized vascular interventions
