Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Childcare Center Director to lead and manage our early childhood education facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for fostering a nurturing learning environment, and a background in education administration. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's development while ensuring the smooth operation of the center. The Childcare Center Director will oversee daily activities, staff management, curriculum implementation, and compliance with licensing standards, all while promoting a positive and engaging atmosphere for children, families, and staff.

Duties

Oversee daily operations of the center
Ensure full compliance with Bright from the Start regulations
Supervise, train, and support teaching staff
Maintain enrollment and conduct parent tours
Manage staff schedules and classroom ratios
Maintain student records and licensing documentation
Ensure a safe, clean, and nurturing learning environment
Lead the overall operation of the childcare center, ensuring high-quality care and education for children.
Develop, implement, and oversee educational programs aligned with developmental standards and best practices.
Manage staff recruitment, training, supervision, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated and professional team.
Maintain compliance with local licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and accreditation requirements.
Build strong relationships with families by communicating effectively about children's progress and center policies.
Coordinate curriculum planning to incorporate age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Oversee administrative tasks including enrollment processes, record keeping, budgeting, and resource management.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, professional growth, and continuous improvement.
Stay informed about current trends in early childhood education through ongoing professional development.

Requirements

Must have completed Georgia Bright from the Start 40-Hour Approved Director’s Training
Must meet Georgia state qualifications for Childcare Center Director
Previous experience managing a licensed childcare center preferred
Strong knowledge of Bright from the Start regulations
Leadership and staff management experience
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Higher education teaching experience or background in early childhood education preferred.
Proven experience in education administration or managing an educational facility.
Previous university experience or involvement in higher education settings is advantageous.
Demonstrated teaching experience working directly with students or young children.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and engage with families effectively.
Knowledge of licensing regulations related to childcare centers and compliance standards.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in administrative tasks.
Passion for early childhood development and creating enriching learning environments. This position is integral to shaping the future of young learners by providing a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment that promotes growth and discovery at every stage of early childhood development.
