Full Job Description

Travel Echo Technologist (RDCS) – Sitka, Alaska

Job Type: 13-Week Travel Contract
Start Date: Tentatively August 31, 2026
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (No Call)

We are seeking an experienced Echo Technologist (RDCS) for a 13-week travel assignment in Sitka, Alaska. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled cardiac sonographer looking to work in a collaborative healthcare environment while enjoying the beauty and adventure of Alaska.

Responsibilities

Perform high-quality adult echocardiograms for diagnostic interpretation.
Operate ultrasound and imaging equipment safely and efficiently.
Assess patients and provide age-appropriate care throughout the imaging process.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using the electronic medical record.
Assist with departmental quality assurance initiatives.
Transport patients as needed while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Follow established imaging protocols, radiation safety practices, and organizational policies.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Participate in continuing education and professional development.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.
Completion of an accredited Echocardiography training program.
Current RDCS (Adult) certification required.
Multimodality experience preferred.
Minimum 2 years of Echo Technologist experience.
Current BLS certification.
Flu vaccination required.
Experience with Meditech EMR is a plus.

Assignment Details

13-week contract
Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
No Call
Holiday coverage required.
State license not required.
Fingerprint clearance is required prior to the start date; applicants should complete fingerprinting promptly after acceptance to avoid delays.
Compensation is all-inclusive; housing and travel expenses are not provided.
