The Dougherty County Human Resources Department is hiring for a HR Deputy Director. The HR Deputy Director, under the general direction of the Human Resources Director, assists in planning, directing, and evaluating the human resources programs and operations. This position provides strategic leadership and directs operations in employment relations, talent acquisition, benefit administration, training, and performance management. Responsible for the design and implementation of HR policies and initiatives as well as the supervision of the HR team and all HR related activities.
This class works under administrative supervision, developing and implementing programs within organizational policies and reports major activities to executive level administrators.
Physical demands refer to the requirements for physical exertion and coordination of limb and body movement.
- Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or sustained keyboard operations.
Unavoidable Hazards (Work Environment): Unavoidable hazards refer to the job conditions that may lead to injury or health hazards even though precautions have been taken.
Special Certifications And Licenses:
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
- Professional Human Resources Certification (PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, IPMA) is preferred. certification or ability to acquire within one (1) year of employment.
