Temporary Full-Time Receptionist / Administrative Assistant

Kemna Auto Center – Algona, Iowa

Kemna Auto Center is seeking a friendly, dependable, and organized individual to join our team in a temporary, full-time Receptionist/Administrative Assistant position. This position will provide coverage while a current employee is on maternity leave.

Position Details

Temporary, full-time position
Expected employment period: August through November 2026
Pay: $18–$19 per hour, based on experience
Monday through Friday [add specific hours, if desired]

Primary Responsibilities

Greet customers and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
Answer incoming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department
Assist customers and employees with general questions
Perform data entry, filing, scanning, copying, and other administrative duties
Assist with incoming and outgoing mail
Provide support to different departments as needed
Complete light accounting duties, including basic invoice entry, record keeping, and payment-related tasks
Maintain an organized and professional reception and office area
Perform additional administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

Friendly, professional, and comfortable working with the public
Dependable and punctual
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to multitask in a busy office environment
Basic computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office
Strong attention to detail
Previous reception, administrative, or accounting experience is helpful but not required
Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling customer and company information
