Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Blanchard Grinder Operator/Machinist (non-CNC) where your skills will shine! In this role, you will operate and maintain Blanchard grinding machines to produce precision components while ensuring the highest quality standards. Your expertise in machining and mechanical knowledge will be pivotal in driving our manufacturing processes forward. If you’re passionate about precision and ready to make an impact, we want to hear from you!

What you’ll do

Maintain a safe work environment and wear all appropriate PPE as required for each task.
Operate Blanchard grinders to achieve precise dimensions and surface finishes on various materials.
Prepare all work pieces with hand grinder and stones for proper seating on magnetic chuck.
Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining specifications and tolerances.
Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges to ensure quality control.
Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on grinding equipment to maintain optimal performance.
Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and implement lean manufacturing practices.
Engage in assembly tasks as needed, ensuring all components meet quality standards.
Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during machining operations.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Basic qualifications

Solid mechanical knowledge with experience in machining processes, including Blanchard or milling machine operations.
Ability to perform basic math calculations related to machining tasks
Preferred qualifications
Experience operating reciprocating type surface grinders
Familiarity with magnetic chucks and shimming for square or taper
