Full Job Description

MRI Technologist

Location: Novi, MI
Duration: 13 Weeks (3+ Month Contract)
Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM) | Rotating weekends (every other or every third weekend)

Position Overview

Henry Ford Health is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join its Imaging Services team on a 13-week contract. The ideal candidate will have hospital-based MRI experience, excellent patient care skills, and a commitment to producing high-quality diagnostic images in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

Perform MRI examinations as ordered by physicians while producing high-quality diagnostic images.
Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning throughout MRI procedures.
Review patient history and verify physician orders before imaging.
Operate MRI equipment in accordance with established safety standards and departmental protocols.
Adjust imaging parameters as needed to obtain optimal diagnostic results.
Accurately document patient information and imaging procedures.
Maintain MRI equipment and report any operational issues.
Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Deliver exceptional patient care and customer service throughout the imaging process.

Required Qualifications

Associate's Degree in Applied Science or related field.
Minimum 2 years of MRI experience.
Hospital imaging experience is required.
ARRT Registered in Radiography (RT(R)) – Required
ARRT Registered in MRI (MR) – Required
Current BLS Certification.
Ability to work rotating weekends as part of the scheduled rotation.

Preferred Qualifications

Completion of an accredited MRI program.
Experience working in a high-volume hospital imaging department.

Required Skills

Strong MRI technical skills and knowledge of imaging protocols.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Dependable, flexible, and a collaborative team player.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.

Schedule

Three 12-hour shifts per week
6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Rotating weekends (every other or every third weekend)
36 hours per week
