Job Summary

Southwest University is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Administrative Assistant. As a family-oriented institution that puts the student first, we are looking for someone who shares our passion for providing exceptional service and support to our students, faculty, and staff.

Job Responsibilities:

Serve as the first point of contact for students, providing timely assistance and support for academic or program-related questions.
Maintain positive and professional communication with students, faculty, and staff.
Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, and events for the Director and program staff.
Help track student progress and support program retention efforts through regular check-ins and outreach.
Maintain accurate and organized records, including meeting minutes, reports, and student files.
Communicate important program dates, deadlines, and updates to students and staff.
Assist with organizing and coordinating program-related meetings.
Ensure compliance with program guidelines and institutional policies.
Support general administrative tasks, including answering phones, responding to emails, and managing calendars.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent required, Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.

· 1-2 years of experience in an administrative support role preferred.

· Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

· Excellent organizational and time management skills.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Customer service oriented with a positive attitude.
