Full Job Description

Full-Time or Part-Time Applicants Considered

Medbio is seeking an experienced Journeyman Toolmaker / Moldmaker to join our 1st shift Toolroom team. We are open to considering both full-time and part-time applicants.

This position is ideal for an experienced skilled trades professional who takes pride in precision work, problem-solving, craftsmanship, and maintaining high-quality tooling in a clean, organized manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do

Construct new molds, prototypes, models, and related tooling from engineering drawings and part drawings
Maintain, repair, and modify existing molds, tooling, and fixtures
Accurately document time worked on individual jobs
Recommend ideas and improvements that increase the efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness of tooling
Share knowledge and expertise with other Toolroom team members, including assisting with apprentice training
Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional Toolroom
Maintain shop equipment in excellent working condition
Follow all safety procedures and help maintain a safe working environment
Support and adhere to Medbio’s mission, values, policies, and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

High school diploma or GED
Journeyman’s papers or a minimum of 8 years of experience in moldmaking, machining, or the toolmaking trade
Ability to read and work from engineering and part drawings
Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds

Schedule

1st Shift
Full-time or part-time opportunities may be considered

Reporting Relationship

This position reports directly to the Toolroom Manager and supports departments throughout Medbio as needed.
