POSITION PURPOSE
The Audio/Video Production Specialist develops and produces professional-quality video, audio, still-image, and mixed-media content that supports Bona’s eLearning, marketing, training, sales, product, and broader business initiatives. This role manages productions from concept through final delivery, including pre-production planning, studio and field production, post-production, and content distribution across eLearning platforms, YouTube, social media, webinars, podcasts, and other channels. The position partners with global subject matter experts and internal stakeholders to translate product, process, and technical information into engaging, accurate, and effective content for Bona Certified Craftsmen, contractors, distributors, the A&D community, Bona colleagues, and consumers. This Audio/Video Production Specialist will help ensure projects are delivered on time, on brand, and to a high standard of quality and will contribute to a positive team atmosphere.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DUTIES
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Audiovisual Technology, Broadcasting, Communications, Media Production, or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience in e-Learning, multimedia, video/audio production, or content production
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications used in multimedia production, including Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop, and Lightroom
- Demonstrated experience with end-to-end video production, including script and storyboard development, production planning, recording, editing, graphics/animation, and content publishing
- Proficiency with audio recording and editing hardware/software for podcasts, sound-booth voiceover recording, demonstration videos, webinars, and live or on-screen productions
- Advanced working knowledge of video cameras, microphones, lighting, sound mixing, and related production equipment, including setup, professional operation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and system connectivity
- Strong creative storytelling, written and verbal communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, subject matter experts, customers, vendors, and talent under deadline pressure.
- Proficiency with computer systems used in multimedia production, as well as Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, changing priorities, resources, and deadlines
- Able to travel domestically and internationally as needed, up to 20% of the time
JOB DUTIES:
- Produce professional-quality video, audio, still-image, and mixed-media content from initial concept through final delivery for eLearning, product/process education, social media, marketing, training, sales, and other business needs.
- Manage day-to-day operations of Bona’s in-house media studio and support field productions, including studio scheduling, project coordination, set preparation, camera (Sony platform), lighting, audio, crew, and production resources for live and on-demand content.
- Coordinate pre-production activities, including project discovery and objectives, script and storyboard development, scheduling, casting or talent coordination, staging, set design, and preparation of materials, furniture, and props.
- Perform post-production editing on Mac workstations, including color correction, sound mixing, voice and music integration, graphics, animation, and special effects; coordinate review and approval of final edits.
- Partner with Bona’s eLearning team and global subject matter experts across Marketing, Tech & Training, Sales, Product Management, and other functions to translate product, process, and technical information into engaging, accurate content for the appropriate channels and audiences.
- Teach and coach remote colleagues and customers on best practices for short-form, user-generated, and social media video content used on Bona’s eLearning and social platforms.
- Monitor live feeds and recordings, troubleshoot production equipment and technical issues, and make adjustments as needed to maintain professional video and audio quality.
- Maintain organized storage, cataloging, version control, and distribution of completed video, audio, and image assets.
- Recommend new or modified production equipment and technology to meet operational or special production needs, and coordinate project-specific production budgets with the requestor when needed.
- Develop mutually beneficial, respectful, and effective relationships with peers to ensure seamless coordination between departments and maintain a shared vision, strategy, and focus.
- Able and willing to work the necessary hours to meet project deadlines; travel when necessary.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Must be able to bend, climb stairs, and continuously stand or walk 25% of the time.
- Must be able to occasionally move within the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds (for example: packages, copy paper boxes, etc.)
- Must be able to communicate effectively by listening and in both written and verbal forms.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Generally works in an office and studio environment but may occasionally be required to perform job duties in field locations or outside the typical office setting.
- This position regularly requires large amounts of time to be spent using and viewing computer screens and equipment, which generally entails regular and repetitive motions.
- May occasionally be exposed to fumes, vapors, airborne particles, or chemicals. All safety procedures should be adhered to in each of these situations.

Compensation range: $80,000 to $85,000 per year

Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and may fall outside of the range provided. The compensation range listed above may encompass base salary, performance-based bonuses, and commission opportunities, if applicable.
