Overview

James Bates Brannan Groover LLP, a leading law firm with offices in Atlanta, Macon, and Athens, Georgia, seeks a motivated individual to join the team as an Administration Support Clerk in our Athens office. Our firm believes in the importance of our people. As the Administration Support Clerk, you will be responsible for a wide range of administrative support tasks, including serving as the backup for the reception desk and a variety of tasks that focus on creating an efficient and constantly client focused office. To succeed in this role, the Administration Support Clerk must be dependable, proactive, detail-oriented, organized, and possess exceptional client service skills. This position is a great opportunity for recent graduates taking a gap year and others who are interested in attending law school or would otherwise like to gain hands-on experience in a law firm.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary backup to the receptionist :

Greet clients, guests, and employees
Receive and route telephone calls
Schedule conference rooms

Conference Room Liaison:

Manage the supply stock within the conference rooms, i.e., pens/pencils, notepads, flip chart supplies, etc.
Manage the set up and clean up of the conference rooms for meetings and lunches, i.e., chairs are in order, water and snacks are set out, etc.

Office Supplies:

Manage inventory and stocking

Office Mail:

Retrieve, sort, and distribute

Break Room/Kitchen Liaison:

Maintain cleanliness throughout the day, i.e., wipe down counters, tables, and chairs, start and empty dishwasher, maintain single-serve coffee machines, etc.
Stock snacks, drinks, cutlery, and paper products
Clean out the refrigerators weekly

Legal Support:

Provide backup administrative support to legal staff and attorneys as needed, including drafting basic correspondence, filing and scanning documents

Requirements

Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds
