Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tig Welder with a minimum of 4 years of welding experience. The ideal candidate has experience with Tig Welding including manual and semi-automatic welding operations, along with interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and aerospace specifications, and a general understanding of sheet metal fabrication and machining.
Key Responsibilities
TIG Welding:
- Operate welding equipment to fabricate and assemble materials based on job specifications.
- Set up welding equipment based on job specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements
- Check welds visually and dimensionally with precision measuring instruments for conformance to blueprints and specifications
- Consistently maintain specified tolerances
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Follow all applicable safety rules and precautions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of welding experience
- Weld test will be administered during interview process
- Experience welding various aerospace metals including inconel, stainless steel, cobalt and others.
- Experience welding various thicknesses (parts can vary from .020 to .200 thick)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T, and weld symbols
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
