About Us

Coyote Creek Bar & Grill is the restaurant and banquet facility at Coyote Creek Golf Club in Fort Wayne. We serve our golf members and the public with a full-service restaurant, bar, banquet events, golf outings, and special events throughout the year. We're looking for a strong, organized Kitchen Manager who leads by example and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Position Summary

The Kitchen Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the kitchen, ensuring excellent food quality, consistency, cleanliness, and efficiency while building a positive team culture. This is a working management position—you'll spend time on the line, coach employees, and make sure every guest receives a great dining experience.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise all back-of-house operations
Hire, train, coach, and develop kitchen staff
Schedule employees to meet business needs while controlling labor costs
Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control
Manage food ordering, inventory, and vendor relationships
Control food cost, waste, and kitchen supplies
Ensure compliance with all health department, sanitation, and food safety regulations
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen
Work closely with front-of-house managers to ensure smooth service
Develop daily specials and seasonal menu ideas
Assist with banquet, golf outing, and special event planning and execution
Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs when needed
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professionalism

Qualifications

3+ years of kitchen leadership experience
Experience managing high-volume restaurant or banquet kitchens preferred
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Knowledge of food costing and inventory management
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain)
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
