Legacy Chapel is seeking a Technical & Production Director to provide leadership, vision, and excellence across our worship production, technical systems, digital media, livestream, and production teams.
Position Summary
The Technical & Production Director leads the technical and production ministry of Legacy Chapel, overseeing the audio, video, lighting, projection, livestream, stage production, and related technology supporting Sunday worship services, special events, and ministry environments.
This position is both a leader of people and a steward of systems, ensuring that every experience is organized, excellent, reliable, and aligned with the mission and vision of Legacy Chapel.
The Technical & Production Director will work closely with the Lead Pastors, Worship Pastor, ministry leaders, staff, and volunteers to create engaging, distraction-free worship experiences and compelling audio, visual, and digital content that helps people Love God, Love People, and Serve Our World.
Key Responsibilities Worship & Production
- Oversee and perform all technical aspects of Sunday worship services and special events, including FOH audio, digital consoles, lighting, video, projection, ProPresenter, livestream, cameras, and stage production.
- Partner closely with the Worship Pastor and ministry leaders to create seamless, distraction-free worship experiences.
- Coordinate production for worship services, conferences, outreach events, youth, children's ministry, and other church gatherings.
- Lead weekly production planning, preparation, rehearsals, and execution.
- Oversee stage setup, design, and implementation throughout the year.
- Ensure consistent technical excellence, reliability, and preparedness for all services and events.
- Coordinate video production, recording, editing, and post-production for sermons, events, outreach, and storytelling content.
- Support online worship and digital environments that extend the ministry of Legacy Chapel beyond the physical gathering.
Production Systems & Technology
- Maintain, manage, and continually improve all production systems and technical infrastructure.
- Steward church equipment and inventory, including audio, lighting, video, cameras, computers, networking, projection, and related technology.
- Develop and maintain efficient production workflows, systems, processes, and documentation.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and remain calm and solution-oriented under pressure.
- Research and recommend emerging technologies, equipment, software, and platforms that can strengthen Legacy Chapel's ministry.
- Develop and manage an annual technology and production budget while practicing wise stewardship of church resources.
- Work with vendors and service providers as needed for equipment, maintenance, installation, and technical projects.
Creative & Digital Production
- Provide technical and creative support for the church's visual and digital communication.
- Maintain consistency and excellence across visual elements used in worship, events, online services, and church communications.
- Collaborate with ministry leaders to develop engaging video, graphics, and visual content for teaching series, events, outreach, and special projects.
- Maintain the church's social media, website, online platforms, streaming services, and other digital environments as assigned.
- Collaborate and Lead social media and digital content creation through video, photography, livestreams, and storytelling.
- Monitor digital engagement and explore new opportunities to use technology to reach and serve our community.
Team Leadership & Volunteer Development
- Recruit, schedule, train, equip, and lead production volunteers using Planning Center and other appropriate tools.
- Develop team leads and raise up additional audio, video, lighting, livestream, and production technicians.
- Provide regular technical training that promotes excellence, confidence, and preparedness.
- Create a culture of service excellence, humility, teamwork, creativity, and Christ-like character.
- Provide spiritual and technical leadership to volunteers, helping them discover and use their God-given gifts.
- Celebrate team contributions and encourage innovation and ownership.
- Build strong relationships with volunteers and create meaningful opportunities for people to serve at Legacy Chapel.
- Ensure appropriate staffing and technical coverage for weekly services and special events.
Qualifications & Experience
- A mature, Spirit-filled believer with a strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ who aligns with the mission, vision, and values of Legacy Chapel.
- Proven experience in live production, worship production, broadcast, audio, lighting, video, livestreaming, or related technical fields.
- Demonstrated experience leading, training, and developing volunteers and production teams.
- Strong understanding of live audio, video, lighting, projection, livestream, and stage production.
- Experience supporting worship gatherings in a church or ministry environment is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Media Production, Communications, Information Technology, Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong organizational and project-management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm and adaptable in fast-paced environments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, systems, and people.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A willingness and ability to continually learn new technology, software, systems, and production techniques.
Technical Skills
Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of the following is preferred:
- ProPresenter
- Planning Center
- Digital audio consoles, including SQ or similar platforms
- Dante or other digital audio networking systems
- DMX lighting systems - Hog
- Blackmagic or similar video systems
- Professional PTZ cameras and video equipment
- Livestreaming and online broadcast platforms
- Stage design, setup, and production
- Apple products and technology
- Adobe Creative Cloud
- Canva
- Video editing software such as Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere
- Church management and digital communication platforms
The ability to learn new technology and systems is just as important as current technical proficiency.

Compensation & Benefits
**Salary Range: $50,000 to $75,000 **
