Job Overview

Texas Cleaning Services is hiring an **HR Recruiter** to run our cleaner-contractor pipeline from first phone call through active roster, using the recruiting and onboarding system we've built in-house.

This is not a policy-writing or employee-relations desk job. It's a phone-heavy, detail-heavy, people-heavy role. You'll be calling and texting candidates every day, running structured phone screens and video interviews, walking new contractors through onboarding and e-signing, and fielding the calls that come in after someone's already active, a cancellation, a no-show, a client complaint.

Duties

Morning: Clear the follow-up queue, call and text candidates who've gone quiet, and log every attempt.
Review overnight applicants, send the first message, and tag where each one came from.
Run 5–10 minute phone screens by phone: reliable vehicle, supplies, real cleaning experience, availability, and any red flags.
Run video interviews for candidates who pass, walk them through our guided interview, score it live, and deliver the pay and policy details in small pieces, checking they understood each part.
Send onboarding messages, track documents as they come in, and nudge anyone who's stalled.
Take calls from already-active contractors, a cancellation, a no-show, a client complaint, a re-do, a question about pay, and document each one factually.
Keep candidate and contractor records current, and flag anything that needs a manager's attention.
Watch your own numbers weekly and speak up about what isn't working.

Responsibilities

Own outbound recruiting communication, calls and texts , for every candidate in the pipeline, following our structured follow-up schedule so no one falls through the cracks.
Conduct phone screens and guided video interviews using our standardized script and scorecard; document answers factually.
Explain the position clearly and accurately: pay structure, cancellation policy, and platform expectations.
Run new candidates through onboarding, collect the necessary documentation, and track everything to completion.
Field calls and messages from active candidates and document them factually, without opinion.
Can conduct candidates outreach and interviews in both English and Spanish.
Keep candidate records accurate and current.
Track your own recruiting numbers, response rate, onboarding speed, follow-through, and flag patterns to management.
Maintain strict confidentiality with any sensitive personal information.

You thrive in high-volume phone outreach environments and maintain a positive, engaging demeanor through repetitive calling and frequent rejection.
You're bilingual and comfortable moving between English and Spanish conversations all day.
You follow a process precisely without it sounding scripted.
You can hold a standard, a red flag is a red flag, while staying respectful, even with someone who really needs the work.
You stay organized under repetition. Nothing important lives only in your head; it goes in the system.
You're fine being measured. Response rate, speed, and follow-through are numbers you'd want to see too.
An upset client or a candidate giving push back on a rule doesn't throw you off your footing.

Who Will Not Thrive in This Role

You're looking for a slower-paced, project-based, or policy-writing HR role.
High call volume, every day, isn't something you want to do.
You're not bilingual and not looking to work closely with a largely Spanish-speaking team.

Qualifications

1–2+ years in recruiting, staffing, high-volume phone-based work, or a similar people-facing role. We're looking for someone strong on the phone and strong with process first.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (Required).
Comfortable making outbound calls and texts for a large part of every day.
Strong organization and documentation habits, comfortable logging every call, text, and decision in a system rather than from memory.
Clear, calm, professional communication, including in difficult conversations.
Comfortable learning internal software quickly.
Understands the importance of confidentiality with tax documents, personal information, and background-review findings.
Experience recruiting, staffing, gig, field-service, or hospitality environments is a strong plus.
Bachelor's degree preferred, not required.
Able to work in-office in Austin, TX, Mon - Fri and some Saturdays.

Schedule

Monday–Friday and some Saturdays full-time, in-office in Austin. This role runs on other people's schedules as much as your own — candidates call back when they call back, and active contractors sometimes need a same-day answer — so reliable availability during business hours matters more than flexibility.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
