We're looking for someone to join our team as a Clinical Educator who:
Under the Director of Clinical Education, the Clinical Educator will be responsible for enhancing the professional practice and provision of quality patient care by promoting competencies and clinical staff development for nurses and medical assistants. The Clinical educator will assist in the creation of educational activities that validate, develop, maintain, and enhance skills and competencies relative to patient care. This will be accomplished through the use of a variety of tools such as Adult Educational Theory, Evidence-based practice, and insight and feedback regarding competence to meet the clinical educational needs of staff as defined by the organization.
Essential Functions:

Promotes the mission, vision, and values of Clinica Sierra Vista.

Coordinates with organization of annual competencies for clinical staff.

Assists in the development of an annual education calendar based on identified educational needs.

Identifies clinical development needs of staff and assist where areas of improvement have been identified.

Creates a supportive environment for nursing research, scientific inquiry, quality improvement, and evidence-based practices.

Communicates professionally with an emphasis on a culture of development.
You'll be successful with the following qualifications:

Registered Nurse, previous experience in a managed care, medical setting, or telephone nurse triage

BLS Certification
-
Possess clinical knowledge of medication administration standards and applicable policies

Possess clinical knowledge regarding nurse triage and screening practices

Valid California Driver's License, auto insurance, and personal transportation

Must adhere to Clinica Sierra Vista's employee health/immunization requirements or provide valid exemption request for subsequent approval.
