Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Leasing Consultant to join our dynamic property management team. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for prospective tenants, guiding them through the leasing process with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your expertise in property leasing, customer service, and legal administrative processes will ensure a seamless experience for all applicants while supporting the overall success of our property portfolio.

Duties

Greet prospective tenants and conduct property tours with enthusiasm, highlighting features and benefits to upsell available units
Manage lease or rental agreement processes accurately using property management software such as Yardi or OneSite
Screen applicants by verifying income, rental history, and credit information in compliance with Fair Housing regulations
Handle lease negotiations, contract signing, and lease renewal procedures efficiently to maximize occupancy rates
Maintain detailed records of applicant interactions, lease agreements, and legal documentation including LIHTC and CMMS systems
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing tenant inquiries promptly via phone or in person while maintaining professional office etiquette
Assist with property maintenance coordination and conflict management to ensure tenant satisfaction and retention

Skills

Proficiency with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, or similar platforms
Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and Section 8 housing programs
Experience with lease or rental agreement management and contracts negotiation
Background in real estate administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and facilities management
Excellent customer service skills combined with effective conflict resolution and negotiation abilities
Office experience with phone etiquette and customer relationship management tools
Familiarity with LIHTC programs, property maintenance procedures, and property management company operations
