Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programming Contractor to support complex manufacturing operations by developing, optimizing, and verifying CNC programs for machine controls, including Fanuc, Siemens, and Okuma. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience using CAD/CAM platforms such as Mastercam, Siemens NX, and Esprit 2000, along with CNC verification software such as Vericut.

This role requires strong experience programming and troubleshooting advanced macro-based routines, including Fanuc Macro B, Okuma Macros, Renishaw probing macros, and Siemens macros. The selected candidate will help improve machining efficiency, accuracy, process reliability, and production readiness.

Candidates must have practical machining experience in a manufacturing environment, including working with exotic materials and large-scale components weighing up to 50,000 lbs. Responsibilities will also include developing operator standard work, inspection and quality documentation, tooling consumption standards, and minimum inventory requirements.

Strong collaboration skills, process discipline, problem-solving ability, and the capability to work independently in a high-precision, heavy-manufacturing environment are essential.

Roles and Responsibilities

Generate, maintain, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam, Siemens NX, Esprit 2000, or other CAM software.
Develop programs for multi-axis milling, turning, and/or grinding operations.
Verify and validate new CNC programs using Vericut before releasing them to the shop floor.
Provide CNC programming support to Manufacturing Engineering teams.
Support operator training during new or rebuilt machine startups and process improvement initiatives.
Provide daily CNC programming and troubleshooting support to shop-floor operations.
Support and implement tooling and fixturing requirements associated with CNC machine tools.
Develop and maintain workstation instructions and standard operating methods for CNC-related processes.
Initiate and lead process improvement projects focused on safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
Communicate effectively with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and operations teams.
Work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional, matrixed environment.
Perform effectively in a fast-paced environment while supporting continuous improvement and positive operational change.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university; or
High school diploma/GED with at least 2 years of manufacturing or operations experience.
At least 2 additional years of experience in manufacturing or operations.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical and operational problems.
Ability to document, plan, and execute technical programs and process improvements.
Strong project management skills.
Experience with Lean manufacturing principles.
Experience with Mastercam, Siemens NX, Esprit 2000, Inventor, NX, or other CAM and 3D modeling software.
Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Technical Skills

Must-Have

CNC programming experience using Mastercam
Experience with Vericut software
Strong CNC programming, troubleshooting, and shop-floor support experience

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

Experience with Fanuc CNC Controls
Experience with Haas, Okuma, and Siemens Sinumerik ONE controls
At least 1 year of experience with advanced machine-tool controls, including:
Subroutine and macro programming
Renishaw probing routines
Variable-based programming
Closed-Loop Machining (CLM)
Experience programming and supporting multi-axis milling, turning, and/or grinding operations
Strong familiarity with multiple CNC machine-control platforms
Experience machining exotic materials and large-scale components

Pay: $55.00 - $61.00 per hour
