Full Job Description

Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. In this vital role, you will implement evidence-based behavioral interventions under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster growth, independence, and improved quality of life for those you serve. This paid position offers an engaging environment where your skills in behavioral therapy, teaching, and patient care will directly impact positive outcomes.

Duties

Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles to support clients' developmental goals
Collect and record data on client behaviors, progress, and responses accurately to inform ongoing treatment adjustments
Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and other self-care tasks
Support clients during therapy sessions by using positive reinforcement strategies to promote desired behaviors
Collaborate with team members to develop, review, and update care plans tailored to each individual’s needs
Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding client confidentiality and handling medical records responsibly
Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and team members to ensure consistency in behavioral health interventions

Requirements

Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), or working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred
Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and experience assisting with ADLs in a caring manner
Excellent data collection skills to track client progress accurately and efficiently
Knowledge of medical terminology, documentation standards, and medical records management is advantageous
Ability to work effectively with children and individuals requiring specialized educational support in a patient, compassionate manner
Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to obtain certification within specified timeframes is required
Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and confidentiality at all times
