Culinary Director

We are seeking a talented and passionate Culinary Director to lead and inspire our culinary team at our esteemed assisted living facility. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a proven track record in culinary management, dedicated to enhancing the dining experience for our residents through quality, nutrition, and innovative menu offerings.

Oversee the planning, preparation, and presentation of all meals served in the facility.
Develop and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs and preferences of our residents, ensuring variety and seasonal offerings.
Manage and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
Collaborate with the facility's administrative team to align culinary services with residents' wellness goals.
Monitor inventory levels and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best quality ingredients within budget.
Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques, integrating these into the dining program to continuously improve resident satisfaction.
Organize and participate in special event catering within the facility, continuing to build a sense of community and engagement.

Degree or certification in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
Extensive experience in a professional culinary environment, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
Demonstrable knowledge of nutrition, dietary needs, and special dietary accommodations.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations.
Passion for working with the senior community and enhancing their quality of life through nutrition.
Proficiency in budgeting and financial planning for food service operations.
