Your Daily Mission

Centauri Health Solutions is hiring a Service Line Director to lead our Disability Hearings & Appeals service line. This is a P&L-owning leadership role for someone who knows the Social Security disability process inside and out and can turn that expertise into a high-performing, client-focused operation.
You'll report to a Senior Director or Vice President and lead the people, process, and financial performance of the service line — while staying close enough to the work to guide case strategy and represent Centauri with clients, vendors, and partners.

Who You Are

Bachelor's degree required
7+ years of management experience with direct P&L ownership
Prior experience in Social Security disability advocacy, claims, and appeals

Technical Knowledge — Disability Hearings & Appeals

Working knowledge of the SSDI and SSI disability determination process
Familiarity with the appeals process, including reconsideration, Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) hearings, and Appeals Council review
Understanding of SSA's Listing of Impairments, medical-vocational allowance criteria, and the sequential evaluation process
Familiarity with SSA program guidance (POMS, HALLEX) and how it shapes case strategy and hearing preparation
Experience overseeing or working with case managers, advocates, or attorneys who prepare and present cases at hearings
Understanding of Disability Determination Services (DDS) workflows and how they intersect with client operations

Business & Leadership Skills

Strong financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Proven people leadership: performance management, coaching, and succession planning
Skilled in change management and process improvement
Excellent communication and executive presence; strong negotiation skills
Comfort with reporting/BI tools and data-driven decision-making

The Reality of the Role

Own P&L performance, budgeting, and financial growth for the service line
Set strategy and translate it into operational plans for staffing, workflow, and growth
Lead, coach, and develop Team Leaders, Service Line Managers, and front-line staff
Oversee case quality, hearing outcomes, and turnaround times against SLAs
Monitor performance trends and drive continuous process improvement
Build and maintain relationships with clients, referral sources, and vendors
Ensure the team stays current on SSA policy, regulatory, and procedural changes
Represent the service line in client meetings, audits, and industry forums
