Full Job Description

Are you looking for a career where you can make a real, daily impact on someone’s life?

We are seeking a compassionate and resilient Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in the Manistee and surrounding areas. In this role, you will work one-on-one with individuals who needs homecare and community inclusion assistance.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Living Assistance: Help with meal preparation, personal hygiene, and household tasks as needed.
Community Integration: Transport and accompany individuals to community outings, appointments, and social events.
Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs of activities, progress, and behavioral incidents.
Safety & Advocacy: Ensure a safe environment and advocate for the individual’s needs and preferences

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

Experience: Previous experience working with the elderly and physically disabled (prefered, not required)
Valid Driver’s License: A clean driving record is required.
Auto Insurance: Must provide proof of current, valid auto insurance.
Background Check: Ability to pass a criminal background check
Physical Ability: Must be able to assist with transfers or stand by assistance based on client needs.
Reliable Vehicle: transporting individuals to community outing, appointments, and social events is a requirement of this position. You must have a dependable vehicle to transport individuals to various locations.

Preferred Skills

Certification in CPR/First Aid (Training is provided).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
