Marketplace Business Manager

Applicate Commerce has an immediate opening for a full-time Marketplace Business Manager to join our team in beautiful Kirkland, Washington.

Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive, highly analytical Marketplace Business Manager to lead strategy, performance, and operational excellence across Amazon 3P (Seller Central) and 1P (Vendor Central Direct Fulfillment), with additional impact across Walmart, Zoro, and future marketplace expansions. This role blends marketplace expertise with strategic oversight, ensuring each channel operates with accuracy, efficiency, and alignment to broader business goals.

You will own end‑to‑end catalog quality, troubleshoot complex listing and integration issues, drive product launch readiness, and design scalable processes that strengthen data governance and operational reliability. This role requires exceptional communication and cross‑functional coordination, partnering with internal teams and external service providers to ensure initiatives, updates, and technical changes are executed accurately and on time.

The ideal candidate brings strong marketplace fluency, advanced analytical skills, and a solution‑oriented mindset—capable of identifying risks, uncovering opportunities, and leading initiatives that protect channel health, improve profitability, and accelerate growth.

Required Skills and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
1-3+ years of hands‑on experience in Amazon (Seller Central and Vendor Central) or other marketplace operations
1-3+ years of proven experience managing complex projects and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders to successfully execute marketplace initiatives, product launches, system enhancements, process improvements, or operational changes.
Demonstrated success improving pricing performance, profitability, contribution margin, or competitive positioning within eCommerce or marketplace environments.
Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly direct external partners, vendors, and cross‑functional teams.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow‑through across multiple concurrent priorities.
Ability to independently prioritize, manage deadlines, and deliver clear, actionable insights in a fast‑paced environment.
Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset—comfortable identifying risks, challenging existing processes, and driving improvements from concept through execution.
Experience developing SOPs, scalable workflows, or cross‑functional process documentation.
Demonstrated success improving pricing performance, profitability, contribution margin, or competitive positioning within eCommerce or marketplace environments.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Third-party marketplace marketing / advertising experience
Experience managing or supporting additional marketplaces (Walmart, Zoro, Home Depot, Lowes etc.).
Familiarity with ERP systems, PIM systems, or middleware
