Job Posting: Customer Experience Associate (Host / Cashier / FOH Support)

Job Type: Part-Time / Full-Time (Seasonal with permanent potential)

Compensation: $7.50/hour base + daily tip out from serving staff (Average earning potential of $10–$25+/hour depending on the volume of the day)

Absolute Requirements: Musikfest 2026 & Open Availability

Musikfest 2026 (July 31 – August 9) is just around the corner, and Main Street is about to become the epicenter of the Lehigh Valley! Because this is our busiest time of the year, we have strict scheduling requirements:

Musikfest Commitment: Full availability to work during the entire duration of Musikfest 2026 is an absolute requirement for this position.
Shift Flexibility: We are explicitly seeking candidates who have open availability for both morning (AM) and night (PM) shifts, including weekends.

If you have restrictions on your summer availability or cannot work alternating day/night schedules, this position is not a match.Key Responsibilities

This is a dynamic, multi-faceted role that supports the entire front-of-house flow. Your daily responsibilities will include:

Guest Relations & Seating

Warm Welcomes: Greet all guests with a positive, warm attitude and escort them to their assigned dining or bar areas.
Table Engagement: Engage in friendly conversation while seating guests, pointing out daily specials, our "soup of the moment," and introducing their server.
Flow Management: Provide accurate wait times, coordinate seating options with the team, and manage the server rotation fairly to ensure guests' needs are met.
Fond Farewells: Give a warm goodbye to customers upon their departure.

FOH & Server Support (Teamwork in Action)

Table Turns: Limit the amount of time a table sits empty (critical during peak hours).
Team Support: Work hand-in-hand with our waitstaff by helping run food, bussing tables, and providing drink service.
Kitchen Liaison: Keep track of the dining room flow and provide accurate menu counts to the kitchen and management throughout your shift.

Front Desk, Phone & Retail Operations

Inquiries: Answer incoming phone calls, address customer inquiries, and stay up-to-date on upcoming Pub events.
Retail Promotion: Enthusiastically promote and sell our specialty bakery items and loose-leaf teas.
Station Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized reception and entry area at all times (including retail displays, menus, and front windows).

Position Requirements

Mindset: A highly motivated, people-loving personality with a strong commitment to teamwork.
Experience: Previous restaurant or customer service experience is highly preferred.
Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills, both in-person and over the phone.
Hospitality Mindset: Ability to cater to guests who require extra attention and care (e.g., children, elderly guests).
Availability: Complete availability for Musikfest 2026, with the ongoing flexibility to work both AM and PM shifts.
