Full Job Description

We're looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in accounting in a construction accounting market while working alongside an experienced team in a collaborative environment. The Candidate will work directly with management. The candidate will need to be able to work independently as well.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with job cost accounting and project cost tracking
Review and reconcile job cost reports and cost allocations
Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and collections
Maintain fixed asset and equipment records, including additions, disposals, and depreciations
Prepare and assist with journal entries and account reconciliations
Support monthly and year-end close-out processes
Assist with sales tax reporting and sales tax exemptions
Assist with reconciling and billing shared costs among related departments
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Assist with construction contracts and payment modules
Prepare reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel
Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned
Perform special jobs and projects as assigned

Qualifications:

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
0-3 years of accounting experience - will be trained
Strong understanding of accounting principals
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
