POSITION SUMMARY:
The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for monitoring safety, quality, efficiency, schedules, budget, housekeeping, and required documentation, including supervision of department employees and coordination of daily activities.

Responsible for biogas collection operations and maintenance duties at assigned facility.

Direct tasks to technicians in daily activities with a goal of optimizing facility operation.
- Manage staff schedules to stay in compliance with biosecurity requirements.

Responsible for grounds and regularly scheduled equipment maintenance coordination.
- Support technicians during maintenance projects on major mechanical equipment.
- Oversee safe work practices including lock-out/tag-out, confined space permits, and use of proper personal protective equipment.
- Perform annual appraisals of direct reports.
- Procure tools and equipment necessary to complete work tasks.
- Enforce company policies and procedures.

Maintain staff by assisting with recruiting, selecting, and training employees; counsel and discipline employees; perform annual appraisals of direct reports.
- Work closely with EHS and HR departments.

Travel domestically between domestic projects and to the St. Louis headquarters (up to 20%).
- Develop and maintain relationships with employees at all locations.

Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner, and work in accordance with established safety and company requirements.

Assist and/or operate facilities as need arises.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in a plant/processing operation atmosphere. Exposure to harsh conditions—such as: dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperatures is normal. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment as defined.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, lift, push, pull, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear. Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. on a regular basis is required. Must be able to stand and walk 80% of the time and sit 20% of the time. Employee will be required to pass a limited physical and fit test for a full face respirator. Then, must be able to wear the respirator for up to 4-6 hours while at the facility.

High school diploma or GED required.

5+ years of plant operations experience preferred, ideally in industrial, manufacturing, energy, utility, or related environments.

Previous leadership or supervisory experience is a plus, but we also welcome strong individual contributors who are ready to take the next step in their careers.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, process diagrams, and technical documentation.

Passion for developing others, with the ability to train and mentor new team members in biogas processing plant operations.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects, solve problems, make sound decisions, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and a hands-on approach to equipment and process improvement.

Ability to understand production schedules, operational priorities, and business objectives to help drive plant performance.

Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to learn plant operating and maintenance systems such as SharePoint, Ignition, MaintainX, and GoCanvas.

Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Self-motivated, energetic, and driven to continuously improve operations and team performance.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization.

Flexibility to support operational needs, including occasional weekends and holidays.

Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Employees in this position may work at sites regulated by the United States Department of Transportation Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) and may be subject to federally mandated drug and alcohol testing in accordance with 49 CFR Parts 199 and 40. Testing may include pre-employment, random, post-accident, reasonable cause/suspicion, return-to-duty, and follow-up testing, as applicable. Compliance with all applicable DOT testing requirements is required to perform safety-sensitive duties.
