About Us

Sunset Powder Coating is a busy, growing powder coating and sandblasting shop in Winder. We do quality industrial and custom work for commercial accounts and walk-in customers, and we’re known for doing what we say we’ll do. We’re a small, tight-knit crew — and we need one more key person to keep the front of the house running as smoothly as the back.

The Role

You’ll be the voice of the shop and the person who keeps our front office organized. This role reports to the Shop Supervisor, who runs day-to-day production, and supports the whole team by handling customer communication, keeping the schedule current, and making sure supplies are on hand. This is a hands-on coordination role in a working industrial shop — not a quiet corporate office.

What you’ll do:

Customer communication. Answer phones and texts, greet walk-ins, manage the shop email, and keep customers updated on job status — including proactively communicating when a job is delayed.
Support the daily production schedule. Work with the Shop Supervisor to plan each day’s job lineup based on his priorities, and keep the job board current and accurate so the crew always knows what’s next.
Handle purchasing. Order powder, blast media, and shop supplies as directed; track what’s running low and flag it before it becomes a problem.
Keep the office organized. Filing, job paperwork, and general administrative support for the team.

Who We’re Looking For

2+ years of experience in an office coordination, customer service, scheduling, or administrative role — experience in a shop, trades, manufacturing, construction, or similar blue-collar environment is a strong plus.
A great communicator. You’re comfortable on the phone, professional in writing, and good with all kinds of customers — from commercial account managers to a homeowner dropping off patio furniture.
Seriously organized. You keep lists, follow through, and don’t let details slip. When five things come in at once, you can triage what matters.
A team player who takes direction well. You’ll work closely with the Shop Supervisor and support the crew’s priorities — no ego, just good work.
Comfortable in a working shop. Our environment includes noise, dust, forklifts, and a crew that works with their hands. You should be at home in that setting and able to hold your own.
Reliable. Steady attendance and consistency matter more here than any specific software skill.
Comfortable with basic computer tasks (email, spreadsheets); QuickBooks familiarity is a plus but not required.

What We Offer

$19–$22/hour depending on experience
Consistent daytime schedule, 32+ hours/week — great fit if you want steady, predictable hours
