Job Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Travel RN Tele, where you will deliver exceptional remote nursing care to diverse patient populations across various settings. This energetic role offers the opportunity to utilize your extensive clinical expertise, including experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic and Cerner, and your proficiency in medical documentation, medication administration, and patient assessment. As a Travel RN Tele, you will be pivotal in providing high-quality telehealth services, managing acute and chronic conditions, and supporting patients through complex care plans. Your dedication will help ensure seamless continuity of care while enjoying the flexibility of travel assignments that broaden your professional horizons.

Title: RN- Telemetry
Shift Schedule: 12 X 3- Days- 7a-7p, weekends as needed, first to float
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Location: Meridian, Idaho
Start: 06/07/2026 (Tentative)

Responsibilities

Unit: Tele
Beds: 27 will be adding 10 more beds in June.
Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:4
Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Common diagnosis: CHF, NSTEMI, STEMI, Stroke, Sepsis, Diabetes, CAD, Renal Failure, Respiratory Failure,
Pneumothorax, post cath lab patients- will not pull sheaths but would ideally have experience with TR bands and Fem stops.
Experience: Must have 2 years experience as a Tele nurse. Must have cardiac drip experience (see below), NIH stoke assessment experience, post cath recovery and chest tube experience.
Are RN's required to titrate drips: No
Common titratable: Will commonly see set rate diltiazem and amiodarone. No epi or nitro on this floor.
Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit: Tele techs on floor until June, then they will centralize off site.
RNs required to read and interpret: Will read and document every 6 hours. Currently using SpaceLab monitors, transitioning to Philips.
Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Yes we have both- will not take patients.
Are there Nurse Aides on this unit/Ratios: Yes 1:8/9.
RT/Equipment: CPAP, BiPAP, high flow- RT will manage.
Shifts & Scheduling: 0700-1930 and 1900-0730. We place travelers in needed slots, try to work with their requests but priority is meeting needs. We do allow for trades with peers. We do not do block scheduling.
Weekend Requirements: Yes â€“ travelers will fill in the needs.
Holiday Requirements: Yes â€“ travelers fill in needs.
Is there Call or a Standby requirement: No.
Floating Requirements: Will float to like units and Med/Surg at times. May also float to Boise Medical Center and Nampa Medical
Center to like units and MedSurg if needed. May also float to ICU if experienced.
Scrub Color: Any as long as they are clean, well kept, and professional.
-Department Specific Orientation: System onboarding then 2 orientation shifts.
**This facility has a radius rule of 50 miles. To ensure adherence to this rule, we will require the candidates' perm address in the submittal to confirm they are outside of that specified radius before proceeding with the profile review.*
Client may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

Qulalifications

Valid RN license with current state licensure; compact licenses are a plus for flexibility across states.
Proven experience working in hospital medicine, ICU, emergency room, or Level I/II trauma centers; trauma medicine experience is highly valued.
Strong familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks; proficiency in ICD-9/ICD-10 coding is preferred.
Critical care experience including ventilator management, airway management, and acute pain management.
Knowledge of laboratory procedures including specimen collection/processing and phlebotomy; familiarity with diagnostic evaluation techniques is advantageous.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities; home & community care experience is beneficial.
Excellent patient assessment skills combined with a thorough understanding of medical terminology and anatomy knowledge.
Ability to adapt quickly to different clinical environments such as urgent care, outpatient clinics, or inpatient units while maintaining high standards of patient safety and confidentiality.
