Job Summary

PK Precision Machining is seeking a motivated and dependable CNC Machinist to join our growing team. We are a small, family-oriented precision machine shop that takes pride in producing high-quality components while maintaining a positive, supportive work environment.

This position is ideal for someone with 2–4 years of machining experience who is looking for an opportunity to expand their skills and build a long-term career. While the primary focus of this role will be CNC turning operations, there will be opportunities to learn Swiss machining and CNC milling for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and monitor CNC turning machines.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and engineering specifications to ensure precise fabrication.
Use precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify dimensions and tolerances.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including tool changes, tooling adjustments, and troubleshooting machine issues.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols; operate hand tools, and power tools as needed for assembly or repairs.

Skills

Proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T principles to interpret complex technical drawings accurately.
Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of machining processes, tooling selection, and manufacturing workflows.
Ability to use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
Basic math skills for calculations related to dimensions, tolerances, and machining parameters.
Experience operating CNC lathe and milling machines; familiarity with other CNC controls is advantageous.
Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to promote continuous improvement; ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Pay: $19.25 - $22.50 per hour
