Full Job Description

The Barren River District Health Department serves the residents and visitors of Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Hart, Logan, Metcalfe, Simpson, and Warren counties of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. BRDHD staff are committed to providing essential public health services in the community. Our mission is to serve our community with a commitment to excellence in quality service by protecting and improving the environment and health of people through prevention, surveillance, education, and partnerships. Services include: Clinic services, Environmental services, Disaster Preparedness, Health Education, Communicable Disease services, Workplace Health for State Employees, Tobacco Control, Diabetes Education, Women's Health Resources, and Harm Reduction and Syringe Services.

The Barren River District Health Department is accepting applications for two (2) full-time Support Services Associate I position to work at the Warren County Health Department.

Duties include:

Medical Records
Interacts with Patients/Public
Receptionist
Scheduling Appointments
Patient Screening
WIC
Collecting Fees
Data Entry
Copying
Filing
Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma/GED
one (1) year of moderately difficult business or public administrative experience in a medical, hospital or administrative office environment using electronic office equipment and professional software.
Additional education (college, vocational school, etc.) in business education or a medically related field may substitute for the required experience on a year for year basis.
Preference will also be given to applicants that are bilingual
Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
Travel will be required to other counties as needed after orientation and training is complete.
The successful applicant will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.

The minimum hourly rate is $15.00 with excellent benefits.
