Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Compliance Manager to lead and support our credit union’s compliance program. This role is responsible for helping ensure the credit union operates in accordance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. The Compliance Manager will monitor regulatory changes, provide guidance to staff and leadership, support audits and examinations, and promote a strong culture of compliance across the organization.

Five years of compliance, risk management, audit, or related financial institution experience preferred; credit union experience strongly preferred.

Working knowledge of federal and state financial institution regulations and credit union operations.

Experience with BSA/AML, OFAC, CTR/SAR processes, consumer compliance, policy administration, audits, or regulatory examinations preferred.

Strong analytical, research, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to interpret regulations and communicate requirements clearly to employees, managers, and leadership.

High level of professionalism, discretion, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn compliance, core, and reporting systems.

CUCE, BSACS, NCCO, or other compliance-related certification preferred, or willingness to obtain.
Oversee and support the credit union’s compliance management program, including policies, procedures, monitoring, reporting, and staff guidance.

Monitor new and changing laws, regulations, and industry guidance affecting credit union operations, lending, deposits, privacy, consumer protection, and member service.

Maintain current knowledge of key regulatory areas, including BSA/AML, OFAC, Customer Identification Program requirements, consumer compliance, fair lending, privacy, and NCUA expectations.

Assist with or manage compliance reviews, internal audits, risk assessments, branch reviews, and corrective action tracking.

Partner with department leaders to identify compliance risks, recommend improvements, and support timely implementation of regulatory changes.

Prepare reports, findings, and recommendations for management, committees, auditors, and examiners as needed.

Support regulatory examinations, external audits, and internal reviews by gathering documentation, responding to requests, and tracking follow-up items.

Develop, update, and communicate compliance policies, procedures, training materials, and reference resources.

Provide compliance training and day-to-day guidance to employees to help ensure consistent understanding and application of requirements.

Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, reviews, complaints, investigations, findings, and resolutions.
