Dettaglio Construction, Inc., dba DCI Construction is a California-based General Contractor specializing in multi-family housing, new construction, commercial, and/or redevelopment projects. Job Summary
The Sr. Project Accountant is responsible for the cost accounting of multiple projects, investigating variances, and ensuring that project billings are issued to clients/lenders by their contractual due dates.

Essential Responsibilities

Analyze all monthly subcontractor invoices, schedule of values and waivers for accuracy. Code and route invoices for approval and enter into Foundation software system.

Assembles all appropriate back up documentation for Client Billings
Prepares AIA G702/G703 Client Billings for management review, and submission by the Contractual due date.
Work with project managers to identify and resolve any billing variances
Reviews all subcontractor billings verifying any/all subcontract change orders have been issued/executed prior to billing.
Tracks all Preliminary Lien Notices received for their assigned project(s)
Gathers all Sub-tier/Sub-Supplier waivers prior to payments being released
Works closely with the Controller to ensure financial performance and necessary budget updates
Assists in investigating, reconciling and balancing project costs
Collects and reviews Subcontractor Insurance Certificates
Ensures enrollments in any Owner provided Wrap-up insurance programs are complete prior to a subcontractor starting work
Filing of all documents electronically using the company’s server and construction management software. Maintains hard copy files as needed

Education/Experience

Minimum of three (3) years of verifiable experience in construction, preferably working for a General Contractor
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly organized; able to work on multiple projects or tasks simultaneously
Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook) Experience working with Foundation accounting software and Procore a plus
Salary is based upon experience
