Job Summary

Chetco Medical and Aesthetics (CMA), a private internal medicine practice located on the beautiful southern Oregon Coast, is hiring an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our healthcare team.

At Chetco Medical & Aesthetics, we believe in providing personalized, high-quality care for our patients. We take the time to understand each patient’s health goals and create customized care plans based on their individual needs. We offer a range of services including internal medicine, preventative care, wellness, and aesthetics, helping patients maintain full and active lifestyles through comprehensive, holistic medicine.

This role is best suited for an experienced APP who is comfortable managing a broad range of internal medicine and primary care needs in a private practice setting. The expected patient volume is 12–14 patients per 7-hour clinical work period, with a base salary of $150,000 plus incentives. Providers who are interested in higher earning potential may have the option to see a higher volume of approximately 18–22 patients per day.

We are looking for a teammate who shares our commitment to delivering thoughtful, comprehensive care while building meaningful relationships with patients.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough medical assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing.

Diagnosis and Treatment: Collaborate with physicians to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions. Prescribe medications, therapies, and treatment plans as appropriate.

Medical Procedures: Perform medical procedures, including wound care, suturing, and injections. Preferred procedural skills include skin excisions, biopsies, and joint injections.

Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive healthcare practices.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.

Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.

Continuing Education: Stay current with medical advancements and best practices by participating in ongoing education and training.

Compliance: Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards governing healthcare practices.

Qualifications

Education: Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.

Licensure: Current or eligible state licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. Licensing support may be provided as needed.

Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of clinical experience required.

EHR Experience: Epic or similar EHR training/experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience performing procedures such as skin excisions, biopsies, and joint injections.

Experience in internal medicine, family medicine, geriatrics, preventative care, or chronic disease management.

Interest in wellness, longevity, aesthetics, or comprehensive patient-centered care.

Skills

Strong medical knowledge and clinical judgment

Working Conditions

Hybrid role: approximately 80% on site and 20% virtual/work from home

About Chetco Medical and Aesthetics (CMA)

Chetco Medical and Aesthetics (CMA) is a private internal medicine practice located on the beautiful southern Oregon Coast that also includes a modern medspa, Bellezza. CMA is led by two physicians, Dr. Jay Patel and Dr. Palak Patel.

Dr. Jay completed medical school in India before completing his internal medicine residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine.

Dr. Palak completed medical school at Oregon Health & Science University, internal medicine residency at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, and a geriatric fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Over the last several years, CMA has hosted PA students and trained multiple APPs. Our providers benefit from physician collaboration, ongoing education, and weekly educational sessions. This prepares our team to manage a broad spectrum of conditions and work at the top of their degree.

Dr. Palak also has advanced training in aesthetics and serves as the medical director for Bellezza, the medical spa within Chetco Medical and Aesthetics. Providers interested in aesthetic medicine may have the opportunity to receive training and pursue advanced certifications in aesthetic medicine.
