Job Title: Ophthalmic Office Manager / Assistant

Pay: $25 to $40 per hour.

Job Type: Full-time (Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM)

Job Description:

The role begins with front desk responsibilities, then progresses to clinical support, office maintenance, billing, marketing, and HR-related duties. In essence, you will be trained to master every aspect of an ophthalmology office other than acting as a physician.

Key Responsibilities:
(Training will be provided where needed)

Greet and check in patients, verifying ID, insurance, and check-in forms.
Verify insurance eligibility, copay, and deductible.
Collect payments and manage appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations.
Answer phone calls, relay messages, and maintain clear communication with the team.
Clean exam rooms between patients.
Document patients' chief complaints, medical history, and medication lists.
Work up the patients: visual acuity, intraocular pressure, applying eye drops
Take clinical images, perform visual fields, refract the patient.
Uphold a professional atmosphere and appearance consistent with an ophthalmology clinic.
Ensure compliance with Colorado Eye Clinic policies, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements.
Manage the office inventory and office maintenance
Manage billing, troubleshoot denied claims
Participate in marketing activities
Assist in HR
Perform additional duties as they arise, contributing to the overall efficiency of the clinic.

Qualifications:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer skills are required.
Preferred: Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role.
Ideally interested in long-term opportunities with potential for advancement.
