Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to be the welcoming face of Pampered Paws. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for clients. Your positive attitude, exceptional organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks with professionalism will contribute to creating a warm and efficient environment. Pay starts at $10 an hour during training and goes up to $12 but can reflect or go up based on experience/work performance.

Duties

Greet clients\pet's warmly and professionally, ensuring they feel welcomed and attended to promptly
Bring pet's to the bathing room
Manage phone system, directing calls efficiently and courteously using proper phone etiquette
Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, mail, and packages with accuracy and confidentiality
Check-in\out pets and check groomer notes
Manage scheduling appointments
Enter notes on pet's profiles
Help with cleaning
Front lobby tasks

Qualifications

Proven experience in office administration, clerical work, or as a receptionist in a fast-paced environment
Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently
Previous experience with multi-line phone systems, data entry, filing, and proofreading is preferred
Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and professional phone etiquette
Personal assistant or office management experience that showcases strong organizational and multitasking capabilities

Is comfortable receiving constructive feedback, direction, and training and applying it moving forward.
Is a team player who is willing to step in and help wherever needed.
Has strong attention to detail and can accurately manage appointments, client information, payments, messages, and scheduling.
Is comfortable working around dogs and cats of different breeds, sizes, temperaments, and activity levels.
Previous receptionist, customer service, scheduling, veterinary, grooming, kennel, daycare, or other pet-care experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.

Especially Important for This Position

This role is best suited for someone who enjoys staying busy and having a variety of responsibilities throughout the day. The ideal candidate can move from one task to another quickly, handle interruptions, prioritize what needs immediate attention, and continue working effectively even during hectic periods.

We are looking for someone who sees a problem and thinks “How can I solve this?” rather than waiting for someone else to take over — all while keeping a positive attitude and, of course, getting plenty of puppy kisses throughout the day!

Pay: From $10.00 per hour
