Full Job Description

Annual Report Biologist – Plateau Land & Wildlife

Plateau Land & Wildlife is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Annual Report Biologist to join our team. This position is responsible for preparing high-quality annual wildlife management reports for landowners participating in wildlife management programs.

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with landowners, understands wildlife management practices, and takes pride in producing accurate, professional work.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare annual wildlife management reports for client properties.
Review and analyze wildlife management activities and property data.
Communicate with landowners to gather necessary information and documentation.
Ensure reports are accurate, complete, and submitted according to applicable deadlines.
Maintain organized client records and documentation.
Work closely with wildlife biologists and other team members to ensure consistency and quality.
Assist with wildlife management planning and client communication as needed.
Stay current on wildlife management practices, program requirements, and applicable regulations.
Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
Demonstrated proficiency in identification of Texas bird species, including migratory and resident birds, through visual observation and auditory recognition

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Biology, Natural Resources, Range Management, or a related field.
Knowledge of Texas wildlife management and land management practices preferred.
Strong writing, organization, and communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
Comfortable working with landowners and clients in a professional manner.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn company software and systems.
GIS experience is a plus.
Previous experience preparing wildlife management plans or annual reports is preferred but not required.
