Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise in machine operation, technical drawing interpretation, and quality control will ensure that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality manufacturing processes in a dynamic environment dedicated to excellence and continuous improvement.

Duties

Set up, program, and operate CNC machines such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC machining centers using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software.
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents to ensure accurate machining processes.
Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other measuring instruments to verify dimensional accuracy according to GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adjustments on CNC equipment to maximize uptime and efficiency.
Follow safety standards in production environments, including proper use of personal protective equipment and safe handling of industrial tools and materials.
Maintain detailed records of machine settings, production outputs, and quality inspections.
Assist with fabrication tasks such as welding or assembly as needed to support manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or CNC machining centers within a manufacturing or factory setting.
Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages (Fanuc preferred), CAM programming, and interpreting mechanical blueprints.
Familiarity with industrial equipment troubleshooting and mechanical blueprint interpretation.
Ability to use precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators for quality control purposes.
Basic shop math skills along with understanding of GD&T principles for accurate machining.
Experience with safety standards in production environments and adherence to safety protocols.
Knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks is a plus for understanding design specifications.
Ability to operate forklifts or other materials handling equipment is advantageous but not mandatory.
Excellent attention to detail combined with strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
