Injection Mold Maintenance Technician

up to $26.00/hr DOE

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Injection Mold Maintenance Technician to join our clients manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on experience with injection molding machines, and a thorough understanding of mold maintenance and repair procedures. As an Injection Mold Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper functioning, longevity, and efficiency of our injection molding equipment and molds.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on injection molding machines, molds, and associated equipment.
Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble molds, identifying and addressing any signs of wear, damage, or degradation.
Collaborate with production teams to schedule mold changes, ensuring minimal downtime and smooth production processes.
Conduct preventive maintenance activities to proactively address potential issues and maintain equipment reliability.
Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues affecting injection molding machines and related systems.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts inventory.
Work closely with engineers and toolmakers to assist in mold modifications, improvements, and enhancements.
Provide training and guidance to junior technicians and machine operators on proper equipment handling, maintenance, and safety practices.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in injection molding or related field is preferred.
Proven experience as an Injection Mold Maintenance Technician or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
In-depth knowledge of injection molding machines, molds, and auxiliary equipment.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and tools.
Ability to work independently and efficiently under time constraints.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills to interact with colleagues across different departments.
Flexibility to work in shifts and handle occasional overtime when required.
Commitment to safety protocols and best practices in a manufacturing setting.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift heavy molds and equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
Comfort with standing, bending, and performing tasks requiring dexterity for extended periods.

Pay:

$20.00 - $28.00/hour DOE
