SUMMARY
The primary job task for Tractor Mechanic is to furnish quality major and minor in-house repairs to farm equipment, schedule preventative maintenance. Troubleshooting, completion of assigned work orders with minimum supervision. Work schedule may vary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Assigned Tasks:
- Communicate well with supervisor and manager. Must be able to accept written and verbal direction from supervisor.
- Maintain proficiency in the diagnosis and repair of all farm equipment which includes high quality and low cost completed in timely manner to meet farm equipment usage
- Maintain proficiency in rebuilding component on equipment
- Complete preventative maintenance procedures and repair assigned work orders as assigned by management within scheduled time frame. Prioritizing and planning work activities and use time efficiently.
- Able to deal with frequent changes in priorities, delays or unexpected events.
- Detect defective farm equipment and repair as necessary.
- Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner by gathering and analyzing information in a skillful manner.
- Work in a fast paced environment
- Respond promptly and professional to internal customer needs.
- Must be able to repair, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, fuel injection and hydraulic equipment.
- Must be able to rebuild diesel engines.
- Must have knowledge of air brakes.
- Must be able to perform work outside of the shop and attend service calls.
- Must maintain equipment in peak operating condition.
- Must place service tags with mileage.
- Must be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work area.
- Other various maintenance tasks as directed by the Supervisor or Maintenance Manager.

REQUIREMENTS
· Must have a valid CA drivers’ license
· Minimum 4yrs farm mechanical experience or 1yr experience with a Technical School Certificate.
· Must be able to work overtime when required, including weekends and holidays
· Good written, verbal and math proficiency
· Demonstrate problem solving abilities
· Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
· Ability to work in extreme temperatures
· Must have knowledge of how to use basic hand and power tools
· Ability to lift up to 75lbs.

Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
