British Swim School of Greater Ventura

About Us:

A position at British Swim School is more than just a job, it is an opportunity to learn, grow, and make an impact in the lives of your community to ensure “survival of the littlest”.

Compensation and Benefits (dependent on franchise owner):

Pay starts at $18-$20, based on experience and with possible opportunities for bonuses.
Hours start at part time (20-30 hours a week), however the position will grow into a full time 40 hour work week as our location continues to grow and enroll more students

The Position:

The Swim Instructor position at BSS of Greater Ventura is responsible for conducting swim lessons during normal operating hours. You will deal with all ages and abilities, including special needs.

Your Typical Responsibilities:

Teaching Swim Lessons and ensuring that they teach to the BSS standards taught during training
Ensuring the safety of all of their students that they are teaching
Communicate with parents about the progress of their child

Minimum Qualifications:

· High School diploma or equivalent

· Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.

· Some experience working with Special Needs children and adults is preferable but not mandatory

Preferred Qualifications:

1-3+ years of customer service
1-3+ years in swimming and fitness teaching/management is preferred. A specialist aquatics qualification is desirable, but not required.
CPR and First Aid Certifications are necessary, Lifeguarding Certification is highly desired but not necessary
