Front Desk Staff/ Patient Care Assistant

Coastal Family Eye Care is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Receptionist/Front Desk Staff/Patient Care Assistant to become an important part of our patient care team.
As the first and last person our patients interact with, you'll play a vital role in creating a welcoming experience while keeping our office running smoothly.
What You'll Do
Your day will include a variety of responsibilities, including:
- Welcome patients with a warm, professional attitude.
- Check patients in and out efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
- Verify insurance information and collect patient payments.
- Schedule appointments and manage provider schedules.
- Answer incoming phone calls promptly and assist patients with scheduling and questions.
- Triage appointment requests based on urgency.
- Prepare patient charts and verify insurance eligibility before appointments.
- Coordinate paperwork, referrals, and required patient forms.
- Process faxes, filing, scanning, and other administrative tasks.
- Balance the cash drawer and complete end-of-day responsibilities.
- Maintain a clean, organized front office environment.
- Work collaboratively with doctors, technicians, and fellow team members to ensure outstanding patient care.
- Cross train to fill in for other roles when needed

Experience in a medical office, insurance verification, scheduling, or customer service is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
