Our mid-sized, dynamic law firm in the heart of downtown Peoria is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant to support our legal team and keep operations running smoothly. This is more than a job — it’s an opportunity to become an integral part of a collaborative and supportive legal team that values initiative, professionalism, and innovation.

What You’ll Do

As our Legal Assistant, you’ll be the hub of day-to-day office activity, providing crucial support to attorneys and staff. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Answering incoming calls and professionally directing them to the appropriate team members
Preparing and distributing correspondence, memos, and legal forms
Developing and maintaining an organized and confidential filing system
Coordinating travel arrangements for attorneys and staff
Performing receptionist duties as needed with a friendly, helpful attitude
Handling occasional deliveries in the downtown area (a great way to stretch your legs!)

The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to excellence. We value those who can manage multiple priorities with grace and professionalism.

Requirements:

Strong familiarity with office organization and optimization best practices
Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated with a high level of integrity and professionalism
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
Proficient typing skills
High school diploma or equivalent required
