Full Job Description

FlexTrades is hiring Maintenance Technicians to support a plastics manufacturing facility. This role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining blow molding machines and automated equipment.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain blow molding equipment (ISBM, IBM, EBM)
Diagnose issues with conveyors, hydraulics, sensors, and electrical systems
Support automated equipment (case packers, box makers, baggers, sealing systems)
Respond to breakdowns and minimize downtime
Assist with preventive maintenance efforts
Help with machine rebuilds, installations, and conveyor repairs
Document work in MaintainX (CMMS)
Support machine setups and changeovers

Qualifications

Strong troubleshooting experience in mechanical, electrical (up to 480V), hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Experience in plastics manufacturing (blow molding preferred; ISBM highly preferred)
Basic PLC knowledge (checking inputs/outputs)
Ability to use HMIs to identify machine issues
Experience with automated production equipment preferred
Welding (TIG/MIG) is a plus
Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Pay and Benefits:

Pay: $44/hour
Guaranteed Overtime Each Week paid at time and a half
Access to a full suite of benefits
Travel Pay to and from the project
Paid lodging (Single-Occupancy Hotel Room)
Per diem ($45/day)
Must meet drug test requirements
