Job Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Marketing Specialist to help generate qualified leads and drive enrollments for Discover Term. This is an execution-focused role with an immediate emphasis on digital advertising, social media, and video content. You will take direction and priorities from our team, then own the execution—creating campaigns and content, managing social channels, editing videos, monitoring performance, and making recommendations for improvement.

Core Responsibilities

Digital Advertising

Create, launch, and manage paid advertising campaigns across platforms such as Meta and Google.
Develop and test ad creative, messaging, audiences, and campaigns.
Monitor performance and make adjustments to improve qualified leads and enrollments.

Social Media

Create, edit, schedule, and publish engaging content across relevant social media platforms.
Turn student experiences, program activities, testimonials, and existing content into compelling posts and campaigns.
Manage social interactions and monitor performance to identify opportunities for improvement.

Video & Content

Edit short-form video for social media, advertising, and other marketing needs.
Repurpose existing photos and video into content for multiple marketing channels.
Create simple graphics and other marketing assets that support lead generation and enrollment.

Lead Generation & Follow-Up

Monitor, organize, and manage incoming leads in Go High Level, ensuring leads are properly captured, categorized, and followed up with.
Conduct direct outreach to prospective families, including phone calls, cold calls, emails, and other follow-up as needed.
Maintain and improve GHL workflows, automations, and AI tools to help move leads through the enrollment funnel.

Marketing Performance

Track leads, lead quality, marketing performance, and enrollments.
Monitor campaigns and identify what is working, what is not, and where improvements can be made.
Provide regular updates and recommendations, with a focus on turning marketing activity into qualified leads and enrollments.

How Success Is Measured

We care about results, not vanity metrics. Growing our social media following, increasing engagement, or generating website traffic can be valuable—but only when those efforts help us reach the right families and ultimately generate enrollments. Success in this role will be measured primarily by the quality and quantity of leads generated and the enrollments that result from marketing efforts. We understand that not every enrollment is directly attributable to a single marketing activity. The goal is to continually improve the quality of the people entering our funnel and the effectiveness of our marketing in moving them toward enrollment.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who can own execution, not someone who needs to be told what to do at every step. The ideal candidate:

Has hands-on experience creating and managing digital advertising campaigns
Has strong social media marketing experience, including content creation and platform management
Has experience editing short-form video
Understands how marketing activity connects to lead generation and sales
Is comfortable learning and working in platforms like Go High Level
Is highly organized and dependable
Pays close attention to detail
Can manage multiple projects without losing track of deadlines
Is comfortable looking at data and using it to make decisions
Takes initiative and proactively identifies opportunities or problems
Can take direction and turn an idea into completed work
Is comfortable working independently while communicating effectively with a small team
Is willing to test, learn, and adjust rather than assuming the first approach is the right one
Cares about business results—not just likes, followers, or engagement

Preferred Experience

Meta Ads Manager / Facebook & Instagram advertising
Google Ads
Go High Level or another CRM/marketing automation platform
Short-form video editing
Canva
Email and SMS marketing
AI marketing tools
Experience with lead-generation or enrollment/sales funnels
Experience working with education, travel, youth programs, outdoor recreation, or another mission-driven organization

What This Role Is Not

This is not a role where someone simply schedules social posts and waits for the next assignment. It is also not a purely strategic marketing position where someone creates plans for others to execute. We are looking for someone who enjoys doing the work, watching the results, and figuring out how to make it better. You will receive direction and priorities from our team, but we expect you to take ownership of the execution, follow through on commitments, and proactively communicate when something isn't working or when you see an opportunity to improve it.

Growth Potential

The initial focus of this role will be on advertising, social media, video, lead generation, and the marketing systems that support them. For the right person, the role can grow to include greater ownership of marketing strategy, email and SMS campaigns, SEO, analytics, content strategy, sales support, and additional aspects of the enrollment funnel. As responsibilities, ownership, and measurable results grow, compensation and scope may grow with them.
