Full Job Description

Cherry Coatings is seeking motivated and experienced Commercial Painters to join our team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work, value safety, and want to build a long-term career with one of the nation's leading commercial coatings contractors.

Established in 1968, Cherry Coatings is a family-owned company providing commercial painting, floor coatings, and maintenance coating services throughout the United States. Responsibilities

Apply paints, primers, stains, and specialty coatings to commercial construction projects.
Perform surface preparation including sanding, patching, caulking, masking, and cleaning.
Operate airless sprayers, rollers, brushes, and related painting equipment.
Maintain quality workmanship while meeting production schedules.
Follow all company and jobsite safety requirements.
Work effectively as part of a team to complete projects on schedule.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Assist with material handling, equipment maintenance, and jobsite setup.
Safely operate scissor lifts, boom lifts, ladders, and scaffolding when required.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of commercial painting experience preferred.
Experience with brushing, rolling, spraying, and surface preparation.
Experience working on active commercial construction sites.
Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety guidelines.
Current OSHA 10 certification preferred.
OSHA 30 certification strongly preferred.
Current aerial lift/scissor lift certification preferred.
Experience working from man lifts, boom lifts, and scaffolding.
Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
Ability to pass a drug screen and comply with customer jobsite requirements.

Physical Requirements

Lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work from ladders and lifts throughout the day.
Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to safely work at heights and on active construction sites.
