Marvelous Lights is looking for reliable contractors and installation crews to install permanent architectural lighting on residential and commercial properties throughout the Raleigh area.
This is a 1099 subcontractor opportunity with paid training provided.
Average crew payout: $850+ per install
Typical residential installations pay approximately $500–$1,200+, with larger projects paying $1,500–$1,900+.
We sell the jobs.
We provide the materials.

PAID TRAINING PROVIDED
Permanent lighting experience is not required.
If you have experience working on homes, using extension ladders, installing exterior products, running low-voltage wire, or performing similar construction work, we can teach you our installation process.
Our paid hands-on training covers the Gemstone Lights system, installation methods, wiring, track installation, system setup, quality standards, and our job-completion process.
WHAT YOU'LL BE INSTALLING
Marvelous Lights installs permanent architectural LED lighting along the rooflines of homes and businesses.
The lighting is installed into custom aluminum track mounted beneath soffits, eaves, rakes, gables, and other architectural features.
Installation work typically includes:
- Measuring and laying out lighting runs
- Installing aluminum track
- Installing LED lighting
- Working from extension ladders
- Working on first-, second-, and occasionally third-story rooflines
- Running and concealing low-voltage wiring
- Making low-voltage connections
- Installing and connecting system components
- Testing the completed lighting system
- Maintaining clean and professional wire management
- Cleaning the jobsite after installation
- Completing required job documentation and quality-control steps
- Customer application hand-Off and tuturial
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are especially interested in contractors and crews with experience in:
- Roofing
- Gutters
- Siding
- Exterior remodeling
- Electrical
- Low-voltage installation
- Solar
- Holiday lighting
- Cable or telecommunications
- Handyman or construction services
Existing two-person crews are strongly encouraged to apply but not required.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Contractors should have:
- Reliable truck, van, or work vehicle
- Ability to transport extension ladders
- 24' and 32' extension ladders
- Basic hand and power tools
- General liability insurance
- Reliable transportation
- Smartphone
- Ability to work safely and comfortably at heights
- Professional appearance and communication
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to maintain a clean jobsite
- Ability to follow installation and quality-control standards
- Ability to learn and use Jobber platform
COMPENSATION
This is piece-rate subcontractor work, not hourly employment.
Average crew payout is approximately $850+ per installation based on our completed installation history.
Typical residential installations pay approximately $500–$1,200+.
Larger and more complex installations can pay $1,500–$1,900+.
Compensation is based on the size, height, type, and linear feet. Additional compensation may apply to certain installation conditions and additional work.
The more efficiently your crew can complete quality installations, the greater your earning potential.
There is compensations for mileage to cover fuel costs.
NO SALES REQUIRED
These are already-sold customer projects.
You are not responsible for:
- Finding customers
- Door knocking
- Generating leads
- Selling the lighting system
- Giving estimates
- Closing contracts
Our sales team sells the project and our operations team coordinates the installation.
Your job is to show up prepared, complete a professional installation, take care of the customer's property, and leave behind a finished product you're proud of.

We're looking for dependable contractors and crews we can build a long-term relationship with as Marvelous Lights continues to grow.
Contractors who consistently provide high-quality work, communicate well, take care of our customers, and maintain availability will have the opportunity to receive additional installation work.
This can be a strong fit for an existing contractor looking to keep a crew productive, supplement their current workload, or add another service without taking on the cost of advertising and acquiring the customer.
